ABOUT MACASSAR EBONY WOOD...
When this wood begins growing it is simpy brown. As it grows older it begins to develop a distinct black grain. The older it gets, the more black appears in the wood. The Darkest Macassar Ebony wood is actually heavier sonce it is becoming more and more dense. Somewhere around 100 years of age the wood will become totally black. This is the exotic wood we know to be Ebony.
A note about the age and fit of the wood handles. These handles were carved in 1999, and were stored in Reno, NV. In this dry, hot and arid they shrank slightly. The top to bottom spacing has not changed, but the side-to-side spacing has changed slightly. Careful installation will assure the grip feels nicely in place as before. Of course the appearance of the wood is only aging oh, so gracefully!
INSTALLATION...

Installation is easy.
There are 3 Stainless Steel screws supplied with the handles. One shorter than the other two.
One is 7/8" long and 2 are 1"long.

• Place a small bead of silicone on the inside of the handles, position them on the chrome pistol shifter.
• Tighten the 3 supplied screws.
• Be sure to put the 7/8" screw in the bottom hole at the narrow end of the handle.
• Give it some setting time while the car warms up, and then enjoy the quality shift of your wild grip.
